Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

The ACLS class in the Bay Area is designed for healthcare professionals who direct and participate in recognizing and managing cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. Healthcare professionals are eligible for ACLS once they complete the BLS course, as you will build upon the fundamentals learned there.

You will gain the following skills and knowledge from ACLS training:

• Identifying and addressing respiratory and cardiac arrest conditions
• Airway management

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Our PALS class in East Bay, California, is for healthcare professionals who respond to emergencies in infants and children. In this class, you will learn how to identify and treat pediatric patients in pre-arrest conditions and how to perform effective CPR, depending on the patient's size and age.

The course covers these key learning objectives:

• Assessment techniques, including primary and secondary assessments
• Recognition and proper interventions for pediatric cardiac arrest
• Post-resuscitation care and management
• Effective communication and team dynamics

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

The NRP course is designed for healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, midwives and caretakers who attend births or are involved in direct care during the newborn phase. In this skills evaluation class, your neonatal resuscitation skills will be evaluated and graded to provide your NRP certification.

The course covers the following key objectives:

• Newborn resuscitation skills
• Identifying infant respiratory distress
• Protecting a newborn against breathing incidents
• Correcting an obstructed airway
• Additional stabilization techniques post-resuscitation

The NRP course is four hours long, including lecture and in-person skills portions. Students must complete the online advanced modules before enrolling. Upon completion of the course, your NRP certification will last two years.
