Obtain the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or the Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P) credential, recognized as the industry standard for medical coding in physician office settings.

This comprehensive 22-week program features two courses: Introduction to Human Anatomy & Medical Terminology and Medical Coding. Regardless of the exam chosen, you will gain expertise in medical coding principles using the main codebooks: CPT, ICD-10-CM Volumes 1 & 2, and HCPCS Level II. The Medical Coding textbook includes access to coding software for ongoing practice beyond course completion, allowing hands-on application of coding skills.

Our collaboration with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) provides the resources needed to successfully prepare for the CPC or CCS-P exams. Those who pass the CPC exam earn the CPC-A credential. Upon completing one year of practical coding experience as a CPC-A (apprentice), you will achieve the full CPC designation.

Obtaining either certification opens doors to diverse career opportunities.
